Many Behind the Scenes Plans Afoot...

 The Memorial Committee has been keeping busy. Here's some updates on our current progress for 2009... Long time, no info. We have been busy working behind the scenes to make sure 2009 is the best year yet for our organization. Plans for this year include:A bigger and better Lounge Acts 2009 concert. A public presentation on April 5, 2009, the 15th anniversary of Kurt's death. A new battle of the bands Road to Lounge Acts format geared toward allowing one local band the opportunity to open for our TBD headliners at the main Lounge Acts show. The unveiling of a wine from Westport Winery, Pinot Noirvana. A portion of the proceeds from each bottle sold will be donated to our organization. A redesigned Web site. An increased presence at local and regional events. An invite-only fundraising event. And much more. The state of the economy has affected our bottom line, as it has most businesses and nonprofit organizations. However, we are resolved to not let it deter us as we continue pursuing our current goal of building an artistic youth center in Kurt's name in his hometown.
